Collectors Edition: Prince of Persia: Fogotten Sands

Ubisoft's shift back to more familiar Prince of Persia territory, based around the Sands of Time concept, brings a Collectors Edition still widely available for purchase.

The primary bonus of the Edition comes in the form of a free game - Prince of Persia: Classic - a remastered HD remake of the original game.  Although this has been released for quite some time on the console marketplaces, and any fan of the game is likely to have picked it up before acquiring this Edition, it is still

Also included is a code for three pieces of in-game content, two character skins for the Prince ('Malik Armor' - ornate black and gold design; and 'Sand Wrath' - the form of enemy creatures) and an extra Challenge Mode - Survival.  Certainly not unbalanced for the game, the skins offer no additional bonuses or special moves, but offer a nice touch of variation for additional playthroughs.

There are two pieces of physical content which round off this Edition are a 'Making Of...' DVD and a printed envelop containing three 'Lithographic Prints' of concept art from the game.

All told, a nice little package that doesn't expand the gameplay, but enhances it just enough to justify its existence.  It is a shame that the in-game content seems like material cut from the game expressly for the purpose of a Collector's Edition.
